We are pleased to announce the start of our collaboration with the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT). Our joint research activities will focus on analysing Macaúba palm oil (Acrocomia aculeata), a raw material with significant potential in the food industry and as a sustainable biofuel source.
Research carried out at UFT has shown that the Macaúba palm plantations are effective in capturing carbon dioxide, highlighting its beneficial environmental impact. It can be incorporated into sustainable development initiatives to help mitigate climate change and protect the biodiversity.
Our goal is to deepen our understanding of the properties of this valuable oil and to develop innovative processing technologies and applications. This collaboration represents another step towards sustainable development, scientific cooperation and the transfer of knowledge across continents.
