On 6th September, Anna Szafrańska, PhD, Eng. Head of the Department of Grain Processing and Bakery, participated in the meeting of the COST Action Working Group: ‘CA21149 – Reducing acrylamide exposure of consumers by a cereals supply-chain approach targeting asparagine’.
The meeting took place at the National Agricultural and Food Centre, Food Research Institute in Bratislava, Slovakia. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance the activity of the Working Group 1 within the “interdisciplinary exchange and integration of knowledge on asparagine and acrylamide” and to continue the activities undertaken during the earlier WG meeting in Budapest. It was a cross-cutting meeting on how to promote the dialogue between the different disciplines involved in the acrylamide issue.
