Professor Artur Świergiel, Dsc., Director of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology has been appointed the Chair of the Higher Education, Science and Innovation Council

We are pleased to announce that Professor Artur Hugo Świergiel, Dsc.,
Director of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology
has been appointed the Chair of the Higher Education, Science and Innovation Council
constituted on the 22nd of November by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

The responsibilities of the newly established Council will include:

1. Preparation of expert opinions for the President of the Republic of Poland;
2. Identification of current problems occurring in higher education, science and innovation and offering relevant analyses and solutions;
3. Revision and analysis of legal solutions and development of provisions and drafts of presidential legislative initiatives with regard to higher education, science and innovation;
4. Support to the President of the Republic of Poland in implementation of presidential initiatives regarding higher education, science and innovation;
5. Establishment of debate forum within the field of higher education, science and innovation;
6. Promotion of activities and initiatives aimed at innovation in science and economy.
