On the 6-8th November,  the researchers from IBPRS-PIB – Krystian Marszałek, Ph.D., D.Sc., Eng, Edyta Juszczuk-Kubiak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Urszula Trych, Ph.D. Eng. and Paulina Średnicka, M.Sc., participated in the ’37th EFFoST International Conference’, which took place in Valencia. The EFFoST 2023 Conference was hosted by the University of Valencia and the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC). This event is Europe’s largest cyclical international conference on food-related topics.

The topics of the conference sessions were related to food sustainability, development of new food products combined with the risk and nutritional value assessment, and the use of microorganisms in food production and analysis. The conference was attended by nearly 900 delegates from all over the world.

Prof. Krystian Marszałek was a member of the scientific committee and the moderator of one of the thematic sessions; he also presented a poster with the results obtained within the HO-FOOD project. Urszula Trych, Ph.D., Eng., presented a poster with the results of her individual research and delivered a presentation as part of the Young EFFoST Day addressed to young scientists and Ph.D. students. Edyta Juszczuk-Kubiak, Ph.D., D.Sc., together with Paulina Średnicka, M.Sc. presented a poster with the results of their research.

Participation in the conference was a great opportunity to listen to many inspiring presentations about the latest scientific achievements in the food industry, expand knowledge and establish new contacts.
