FoodMicro2024 Conference
Joanna Bucka-Kolendo, PhD, Eng., from the Department of Microbiology, took part in the FoodMicro2024 conference, organized in Burgos, Spain. The event focused on the latest developments in new technologies in food production and microbiological analysis, bringing together experts, researchers, regulators and industry professionals from around the world to share knowledge and exchange ideas. Participants could learn about the latest research and technological breakthroughs.
Scientific sessions focused on new trends in food processing, innovative approaches to food safety and quality and novel methods of microbiological analysis. For the first time, new fields such as microplastics and microbiome interactions have also emerged.
