On the 28-29th March, Joanna Bucka-Kolendo, PhD, Eng. and Justyna Nasiłowska, MSc, Eng. from the Department of Microbiology, IBPRS-PIB participated in the MALDI TOF MS Meeting DB tool for MIRRI – an expert panel organized by the Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure (MIRRI) on the set-up of a common database and tools helpful in using the MALDI-TOF MS system for microbial analyses. The meeting was held at the Institut Pasteur in Paris.

The Microbial Resource Research Infrastructure (MIRRI) is the pan-European distributed Research Infrastructure for the preservation, systematic investigation, provision and valorisation of microbial resources and biodiversity. 

MIRRI brings together 50+ microbial domain Biological Resource Centres (mBRCs), culture collections and research institutes from 10 European countries. MIRRI serves the bioscience and the bioindustry communities by facilitating the access to the broadest range of high-quality microorganisms, their derivatives, associated data and services, with a special focus on the domains of Health & Food, Agro-Food and Environment & Energy.
